A Bad Influence

We’ve all been subjected to them.  They come in all kinds.  The particular influence I’m writing about involved the use of shoulds, oughts, and it’s always been that ways.  It’s the sort of thinking that states something must be one way even when it’s obvious that the one way no longer works.  It’s made me wonder how many people have been subjected to opinions disguised as facts.  For a world in turmoil, an outdated influence is a bad influence.  And maybe that’s why the world is in turmoil.  People are still trying to make the old way work.
